There were some exciting announcements at the MTE. The biggest of which was the new look and direction of the organization formerly known as the PDTA. The new name for our association is the National Association for Professional Detailing and Reconditioning (NAPDR). It was agreed that this name more accurately reflect the inclusive nature of the new leadership team. The mission of the new association is to raise the level of professionalism within detailing and related car care industry as well as raising the association's visibility both nationally and internationally.
The educational sessions were very well attended. Brain Newport and Diana Bean's presentations were both informative as well as entertaining. The sessions focused on business related subjects. The round table was attended by 49 industry professionals. Some attendees commented that the round table was the best ever, very organized, the moderator Tony Stubblefield presented the information and facilitated the discussion in a non biased way and the topics were thought provoking. We will organize our notes and get back to the membership with a synopsis. We look forward to another exciting round table discussion at the ICA in March.
The entire executive board Greg Swett, Diana Bean, Gina Budhai and Tony Stubblefield visited the event for the entire three days. We would like to thank all of the people who helped to make this event very memorable. Last but not least we thank those members who see the vision of what a great association this can be and have renewed their memberships for the 2007 season. With your continued support and team attitude as well as that of our new members the NAPDR will prosper and be a driving force in the vehicle appearance industry.
WE WILL ALWAYS OPERATE ABOVE THE LINE.
More to come!!! The only place to get true and accurate information about the NAPDR is your member web site: http://www.detailersassociation.com or by contacting one of the executive board members.
