  • How to Clean Suede???

I need a little help here.

I'm detailing an old Trans Am tomorrow and I need a little help with the seats. It has Recaro seats that came with the car back in 1981 or 83 i believe. They are in pretty bad shape but I need to clean them as best as possible. Pretty much they are cream colored seats with leather on the sides and suede in the middle. What products would you suggest to at least get the suede close to clean? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

    Cleaning Suede

    Hi Matt:

Never cleaned suede so this is only something to consider.

I would think about trying Woolite mixed at 6 to 1. I have used it on fabric with good results.

Always heard that cleaning suede was tricky since it is very easy to saturate it with product, which could damage it.

    Good luck
