My sister in law had to take her dog to the vet. It had cut it's ear pretty bad and bleed on the carpet in her SUV on the way to the vet. Any ideas on what to use to remove that?

Re: How to remove blood from carpet
Blot the blood with an absorbent cloth, being careful not to spread the stain.
Use a small amount of mild detergent directly on the stain. Work the detergent into the stain with a toothbrush or small brush.
Blot the area with a clean, dry, white cloth.
Pour a small amount of ammonia on the stain. Allow the ammonia to sit for several minutes to break up the stain.

Re: How to remove blood from carpet
Never use a vapor steamer or hot water on blood it will set the stain I use peroxide, alcohol, dish detergent etc on various dilutions, works alot of the times , and is enviromentally friendly. Some old school hints from heloise , my grandmother, etc are great cleaning methods that still work today.

I don't know. She and the dog are in Portland, while I am in SoCal.-Bob
