  • A new G-100?

Is there a new version of this coming out? I heard and saw on a UK forum that there will be a new G-100 coming out this summer.

    Anyone? Anything?

    Here's a video of it.....

other than the obvious (bail handle, all black plastic housing) it's probably the same internal machine as ours. that could be just a version for them, and their power source is probably different than ours. the griots random orbital has that similiar style bail handle as well...

The G100/7424/7335/7336 has never been available in the UK because Porter-Cable has never made a 230V version of it.

It's likely a machine somebody over there is introducing to fill the void. As imacarnut points out it does look a lot like the Griot's machine.

As you know, we are always evaluating and coming up with new ideas with the help of R & D and consumers input.

While this is an early concept of a potential new machine, it is nowhere close to being released.

I guess you could say... this is similar to a spy photo / video of a concept car

To me it looks like an all black G-100/7424 with a different handle (who would need a handle anyway....).
Maybe the reason for the counterweight housing being so big and yellow could be some kind of protective boot they've added like already seen and available elsewhere.
