  • G100 Service

I wanna give my G100 a service maintenance before I go at my car again this late spring. Any suggestions or kits available with instructions on how best to do this?

    Re: G100 Service

I take mine to a PC service center (most ACE hardware stores) and have them refresh it. They open it up, check/replace the brushes, power cord condition and re-lubricate it. FWIW, I bought my G100 in March of 1995 and it runs as well today as when I bought it. I have it serviced every winter or two. This tool has polished literally thousands of cars.

What does a service like that run you, I know my cord is in great shape.

It costs me a 12 pack of Samual Adams Boston Lager. My friend owns a local ACE.

I'm sure they will give you an estimate.

I'll have to put the call in. I really wanted to do it myself as I am a very handy person. Just buying the oils and freshening it up as it runs flawlessly.

Don't these come with a lifetime warranty from Meg's? That's one thing that drove me to buy the unit and not replace it with a G110. The original G100 models seem almost bulletproof.
