  • G110v2 & 105,205

I picked up a G110v2 and some 105 and 205. I used the 105 on our 02 Jetta before I tried it on my car. My question is with the DA and the 105 useing the yellow 2.0 pollishing pad the 105 does cut a little slow and also seems to polish at the same time! Do i need to remove all imperfections in the paint before I use the 205 or can I leave very small scratches and finnish with the 205?

So I guess I'm asking where to leave off the 105 and switch to the 205, I'm sure it can be done both ways but just wondering what was the normal process!

Also after the 205 I plan on useing the 21 sealer! any missing steps! use a pure polish after the 205 or a wax after the 21?

The car is a 05 BMW 5 series

    Thanks in advance, Adam

You can do a test spot with the #205 and see if the #205 will remove the swirls, etc left behind. That will give you the best answer.

You do not have to use a pure polish after the #205, that would be optional. And 2 coats of #21 is also good.

Some times after using #105 you have to go to #205 to get the finish lsp. Do your test spot.

Is the V2 & 105 with the polish pad considered a mild cutting combination?

Not really, its pretty far up there as far as DA products go.

Ok, I worked on the BMW as directed and it looks great, the only problem is the deeper scratches (larger than the swirls ect.) didn't go away! I worked them for about 1-2 min. in a 20" by 20" area and under certain angles I could still see scratches!

Does this mean to get a flawless finnish I need to wetsand? or just try a more agressive aproach like a rotary with a wool pad, which I have! P.S. I whave never used the rotary with a wool pad

also if I do wetsand, will the DA and 105 remove the sanding scratches! or do I need to break out the rotary.
