  • Dual Action Polisher G110v2

This is the first detailing machine that I have purchased.
I can't find any information on it, but what is the purpose of the "brushes"

"Easy side-port access for quick brush changes"

and how will I know when to change them.

Brushes are a wear item with any electrical motor, sort of like the brake pads on your car. You should be able to get close to 400 hours of use from the tool before needing to change brushes. Basically the tool will simply not run once the brushes are fully worn, but replacement is about as easy as changing a light bulb (honestly) with those side ports. Go ahead and unscrew one and take the brush out - they only go in one way so you can't mess it up.

Oh, and just so you aren't surprised, they don't look like a brush in the sense that they don't have bristles (like a toothbrush or paintbrush) but are instead little carbon blocks.
