  • G110v2 vs. PC7424XP vs. Griot's Garage DA

    Hey Everyone,

I'm in the battling process of upgrading/replacing my worn out PC 7424 DA polisher to the newest and greatest. I'm having a little trouble deciding which one I like better between these three: G110v2 vs. PC7424XP vs. Griot's Garage DA. I'm already accustomed to the reliability of the Porter Cable polishers. I just wish they would come out with a "D" handle and a higher amp motor to level out the playing field. I realize this is a common question around here...but I'm not finding too many reviews on the Griot's DA Polisher (I like the lifetime warranty).

    Which one would you choose?

    Thanks!

Does anyone have the specs on the Griots unit such as speeds, amperage, etc.? Can't find any on their website.

Thanks for the data, I read in another post where you prefer the GG6 to the G110v2, do you use their products (pads, polish)as well or Meguiars? What polishes/compounds would fall in line with Griots pads?

I have the GG DA with 6.5" Lake Country CCS pads and I love it. Using it on level 6 is insane if you ask me, but Richard Griot states in his detailing handbook that that is the speed he uses for correction. I prefer doing any correcting at level 5.
