so i was buffing a customers 08 ford on a 8207 polishing pad on speed 5 with meguairs w68da backingplate...probably the 3rd time i used this pad,maybe the 4th....
with the griots 6 polisher by the way...
while buffing the door i noticed the pad was spinning weird...slower..not steady...so i stopped to chek it out...i tried to take off the pad but the laminated part(thing that sticks to the plate) was pretty much torn off the pad and was stuck on the backing plate,so i take off the pad and i have the laminated part super super stuck on the backingplate...i took it off with using so much strength(and ima big buff guy too) lol jk
well wen i removed it alot of that sticky stuff was left on the plate and it wouldnt attach good to another pad i tried on it.
i finished the rest of the truck but the pad always tried flying off...it was scary.it really didnt attach to the plate.
i called the store i bought this stuff off and they said to bring it in to chek it out...do u think i can get the pad n plate exchanged? he wanted me to do another car tmrw but i cant now i need a new plate
