  • Microfiber Correction System on non factory paint?

I had some recent body work done on my wife's white Tacoma. Not the best of paint jobs. Lots of paint nibs that I removed. (It's a long story.) It's looking good but even after compounding with a three inch pad and Ultimate Compound, under certain lighting conditions I can still see a tad bit of my wet sanding work. (2000 unigrit) Think it would be OK to get out my Microfiber Correction System stuff for a final correction on this repaint? The paint is a waterborne base coat with a solvent base clear.

You'll be more than fine with the DAMF System on this paint. The only thing to keep an eye out for is hazing if the paint is very soft, but that easily cleaned up with a little M205 on a foam pad. We've worked on many repainted cars, some with single stage lacquer sprayed a few years prior, some with newer lacquer or base/clear systems. This should pull the last of those sanding marks quite easily.
