Attaching 3" Meguiar's backing plate to PC 7424x

Bought the Meguiar's Headlight & Spot Repair Kit ( http://www.autogeek.net/meguiars-pro...epair-kit.html ) and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to attach the backing plate that came with it to my DA. Instead of a post sticking out to insert into the PC, it has a hole and a bunch of little adapters.


I'm sure I could get one of them to work, but would like to make sure I'm doing it properly before I attach a pad and put the DA to paint.

You need to use one of the little adapters to fir the backing plate onto the DA.

I am not a fan of that 3" backing plate. Mine stripped out after one use. This is a better alternative.

I attached it. Seemed to be fine with sandpaper (with no real pressure applied). As soon as I put of a pad and applied some pressure, the entire head went flying off. Luckily, it didn't hit anything. But now pretty worried it'll happen again.

Which is why i linked the better 3" backing plate. It's a much better plate. Save yourself the hassle and get a good 3" backing plate.
