Of course, working on gel coat by hand can be a daunting task give the general hardness of gel coats. It should finish LSP ready, but some of that will depend on your application process, how aggressive a pad you choose, etc. Think of it as being along the lines of M80 Speed Glaze on the automotive side. Not that we're saying it's repackaged M80, far from it. But it would fall into that same category or stage of cleaning and prep.

2. Is M45 Boat/RV Polish and Gloss Enhancer considered a pure polish for boats?Yes, 100%

3. Is M49 Oxidation Remover considered a compound or cleaner/polish? How is it different from M44 Color Restorer? Is this for use with the G110 and by hand? Will it finish out LSP ready? Is it commonly followed up with M44 Color Restorer?Taking the M44/M80 analogy a step further, M49 would be like stepping from M80 to M83, but with a greater difference. It can still finish LSP ready but it not with the regularity of M44, just as some paints finish great with M83, but not all do. G110 or hand - up to you.

4. I have used M50 Cleaner Wax on fairly new boats and jet skis in the past, but how does it perform against somewhat oxidized gelcoat?Sort of depends on the age of the gel coat. Very old gel coats can be quite challenging to fully bring back, but newer surfaces that are just beginning to oxidize can respond very well to M50, especially when applied via D/A.

5. What is the difference bewteen M56 Pure Wax and Flagship Premium Marine Wax? Which one lasts longer? is M56 carnauba while Flagship is synthetic?You're spot on - M56 is a carnauba based product while Flagship Premium Marine Wax is primarily a synthetic. Flagship is our top of the line marine/rv wax and is highly recommended for vehicles that are outside 24/7

6. What is the difference bewtween M57 Vinyl/Rubber Cleaner and Conditioner and Flagship Premuim Vinyl and Rubber Protectant? Does Flagship not have the same cleaning agents as M57?M57 will give more of a matte sheen and has a bit better cleaning ability than the Flagship product, which yields a bit higher shine overall.

7. How does the new Flagship Marine Cleaner Wax take on oxidized gel coat? Has Meguiars done any testing on an oxidized surface? This is more aggresive than M50 Cleaner Wax, correct?Definitely a premium product, and if you're only going to have one marine/rv cleaner wax on hand, this is probably the one to go with. It has excellent cleaning and light defect removal capabilities, especially when used with a D/A

When I first got my G110, I used the yellow polishing pad on my fiberglass motorhome with good results. Then I switched to using the maroon cutting pad with cleaner/wax and got great! results. Gelcoat is tuff stuff and the more agressive pad made a world of difference.

Instead of placing an order, I was able to find what I needed locally. Cost about $60 for everything.

I cant wait to use M44 with the G110 and I hope I do not have to get aggressive and bring out the M49 but I bought it just in case. I already have a bottle of M50 but since I was running low on it I bought another. I also bought the paste version of M50 since that looked very interesting.

I also am looking forward to seeing how M57 performs, I guess it is the Marine version of M40, and we all know how great M40 is, so M57 has to be a winner.

I was low on M54 Gel Wash so I picked up a jug of Boat Wash, it has the same smell and consistency as Deep Crystal Car Wash. Looking forward to trying this as well.

Nick, its interesting to see you work with marine and rv products, since you do such great work with automobiles...if you dont mind me asking, are you working on your own boat/rv or a customers ? i'd like to see

i've used #57 on my 21ft stingray and it works great! you can also use #39 to clean before hand

#50 is also great on a maintained boat

I am actually working on a customer's boat. Its has some light oxidation and the usual wear and tear for a boat. I have never worked on a neglected boat so I needed to have a better knowledge and understanding of the Marine/RV line.

I am pretty sure I will be needing dedicated cleaner/polishes and not just a light AIO such as M50 Cleaner Wax. So I picked up M44 and M49 for the gel coat work, then I plan on following that with M50 and Flagship Premium Marine Wax, all done with a first generation G110. Hopefully all it needs is M44 and not M49.

Last summer I worked on one boat which was brand new, and two jet skis. I used M50 Cleaner Wax on the G110 topped with Flagship Premium Marine Wax on this boat and these two jet skis:

Yeah, I am pretty excited about using M57, I have M39 already and I already know how great M50 is.

very nice Nick ! i'd be excited to work on those things...oh god can you imagine doing these boats without a machine ? i know you've done your truck by hand but a boat ? i think anyone's fingers would fall off lol. great challenge, something new is always fun.

a boat is a pia to do bro!!!! the stingray takes hours to do

much more surface area to do than a car
