Rust--Need Help !!!

    Rust--Need Help !!!

    What are your thoughts on this rust spot? Too much work for a first time DIY? Should i just take it to a bodyshop? I think I have a good understanding of the process to fix...just want some advice. Any assistance is appreciated.

    At the very minimum you'd need to grind away a fair bit of surrounding paint in order to feather everything smooth so that you don't have a sharp transition. Then grind away the rust completely so it doesn't spread any further. Then probably a bit of filler followed by sanding to remove the vast majority of that filler and leave things totally smooth. Then prime, color coat, and blend the clear coat.

    Probably. Unless you've done this sort of thing before, this looks like something best left to a competent body shop.
