  • M21 sealant

    Hello,

I just bought a bottle of the M21 sealant from a local distributor. Upon opening it I noticed the bottle does not have any type of seal on it. Is it supposed to? I am not positive but I seem to recall that Meguiar's products have some type of seal.

In any case I am eager to thry the M21 as I have read many good things about it.

I currently use the NXT wax, GC wash, and the several of the wheel brushes. All good stuff.

    Excellent website,

    Thanks, Nate

    Hi Nate,

    Welcome to Meguiar's Online!

The seals on the #20 or #21 do not hold very well as it seems some of the product during production must get onto the lip of the bottle. As you know, nothing sticks very well to a wax or sealant. I have used several containers of #21 and #20 and all of them had the seal up inside the lid. I would not worry about it at all!

          does your 21 smell great????

When I first got my bottle, I couldn't smoe sniffing it.

Is #21 a sort of liquidity product? It seemed to be not as thick as the NXT wax.

It's thinner than most of our waxes...

I don't remember what the scent is like without going out to the garage and smelling some, I don't remember it being very strong for what it's worth...

I agree. I have found M21 to be much thicker than NXT.

It smells great! not to mention HD smells like grapes! Yummy!

That is besides the point, the bottle of 21 I have seems to be thinner and more of a liqoud compared to NXT. Maybe I should give it a shake and then see how thick it is. Maybe its because its been sitting anod not used yet.

                    M21

I only have experience with one bottle but it needed a good shake. Upon initial opening it did seem a little runny, as if there was a small amount of settling/separation. I don't have the bottle in front of me but I think most waxes/sealants have the "shake well" instruction.

M21 smells similar, but not exactly the same as #20 IMHO. I like the aroma of NXT better, but 21 smells good enough to use. It just doesn't smell good enough to eat LOL!

I did a test section of #21 on the roof of my car for the winter, and it has held up extremely well. I only put one coat of it on the roof, and the paint still feels very slick, even after several snow/salt cycles and a many weeks when the car was not washed.
