gooday from aus im chris and lookforward to learning about car care which is heeps from what i have already read. for those aussies my drive is a wh statesman (MY2000) now to my 1st problem i bought a few meguiers proudcts including a waterless system so on the weekend i cleaned it but i discovered when i had finnished that i had used glass cleaner instead of the quick detailer what i would like to know is what dammage could it do to the car. i have since waxed it with the nxt paste so hopfully it will be ok

Not quite sure if the glass cleaner will do any damage. However, if possible I would clay the car to make sure I got it off. If you cannot clay I would definately use a paint cleaner. Look at this thread to get you started.

The Glass Cleaner itself won't hurt the paint, the problem is that when you're using a waterless wash system, you want a product that provides a lot of lubricity to help you to remove dirt without instilling swirls and scratches at the same time, glass cleaner is a liquid, thus it's a lubricant but it's not going to be nearly as slick as the spray included in the Waterless Wash kit.
To late to turn back the clock so hopefully you didn't do too much damage as far as instilling swirls and scratches. If you did then we have the products to remove them. Chances are that if you did instill any swirls and scratches the NXT Paste Wax will have visually masked them, so next time the sun is out and the car is clean, just try to inspect the paint to see if you can see any swirls and scratches.

the car has swirl marks on it they have been the since i got the car about 5 months ago and a few sctatch marks and the touch up areas as well so a lot of reading of the forums is in order. is ther a dvd avaliable like the detailing classes ive read about (shame there not avaliable in aust) as to photos i need to organise myself and take a fewThe next meeting of the procrastonators society has been postponed until next week
