  • Checking in from NJ

I'm the proud new owner of a white 2008 Lexus IS350. I live just outside of NYC in New Jersey. My typical car care regimen includes the following:

    1. NXT generation car wash

    2. Clay Magic "claying" (when needed) in conjunction with QD spray (I prefer the clay magic bar over the Meguiars bar).

    3. Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner (when needed).

    4. Show Car Glaze #7.

    5. NXT Generation Tech Wax (still have left over so I haven't tried 2.0 yet).

    6. I also use the Hot Rims Whell Cleaner on the rims and the Hot Shine tire spray for my tires.

I sound like such a Meguiar homer, but when I bought my first car in 1992 (a Honda Prelude V-TEC) I was told by their auto body guy to use Meguiar products. Since then, I've experimented with Zymonl, Zaino, Klasse, Mother's and Turtle's "Ice", but I've always come back to Meguiars.

The NXT product line is top notch in my book. As I said above, I do prefer the Clay Magic clay bar over the Meguiars bar, which is a bit to skimpy as far as I'm concerned.

Since I just picked up my new car last week, I haven't had a chance to detail it yet, but I will post some pics once the weather improves enough to spend a day on her!

Hey whats up, and welcome to Meguiars online!
You will find a plethora of information from knowledgeable professionals.
I am headed your way tomorrow, and going to the NY international Autoshow.
(My brother lives in Hillsborough, and I am staying in Sommersville)

You need to raise your voice so we can get a class out this way!!
