    Hi from Ellijay, GA aka Deliverence Country

    Just bought a 1990 Mercedes 500SL. Now it's got all sorts of smooth white spots, and spots were the wax can be scrapped off with a fingernail. I don't want to have to spend three or four thousand for a new paint job.

              Thanks for all the Hi's and information. Question: Could a steel framed carport leak acidic materials on a car which was parked under the carport for about three days of driving rain?

                  That's not all that far from Cumming, GA - one big difference though, most folks around here aren't 'from around here', if you catch my drift.

                  As far as the carport leaking, I'd expect that anything is possible, but then I'd also expect that a carport roof shouldn't be leaking.
