  • reintroducing myself....

    Cj from Dallas,

Haven't posted much, came here a while back and got some good tips.

Well, now its time to work on my car. I must now try and fix the previous owners attempt at washing with what seems to be a scotch brite pad. Dealer did a great job at hiding those scratches, did not see them until about a month after owning the car.

Anyways here's what i have stocked up.......

    Dewalt 849
    PC 7424
    Megs 105 old version
    205
    #2
    #9
    UC
    SwirlX
    ScratchX
    Smooth surface clay 3-pack
    ONR
    Collinite 845
    Megs GC paste wax
Megs M16-3 cans thanks to ya'll
    3-Cobra Shamrock 750 MF's
    16- Target vroom orange mf's
CCS spot buff 4" pad kit from AG
    W4000 wool
    Various Meg's red,yellow,black pads

And if that is not enough, i'm going out after i post this to go buy some Meg's APC (have a Megs dealer nearby), #40 vinyl/rubber, some brushes to clean the wheels/wheelwells, and something to polish the exhaust tips. It's like if i'm gonna detail the car, i might as well do all of it and do it right............. which is why i'm gonna go broke hanging out here.

I already know there's gonna be some scratches which i'm not going to try and remove because they seem too deep to remove safely. Kinda ticked off at that but oh well.

Anyways....i should be tackling that in the next few weeks, i hope to post some before, during, and after pics.

Welcome back! Looking forward to pictures of the project - never could understand how anybody thinks using a ScotchBrite pad on paint is a good idea.
