Hello everyone, my nickname is wooly. I am new to this site, and new to washing, clay-barring, and waxing a vehicle. After reviewing the tutorial on this site, I used Meguiar's products to wash, clay-bar, and wax my 2000 Taco. It turned out awesome! Now, every time that I wash my truck, do I need to clay-bar, and wax it? And does the Meguiar's Gold Class car shampoo strip the wax off? And does Meguiar's Quick Detailer strip wax off too? And is Meguiar's Leather conditioner safe for vinyl? I appreciate any advice that will help. wooly. Peace.

You only need to clay to remove surface contaminants that remain after a wash. probably 1-2 times a year depending on whether garaged or not, etc.
When your wax is needed, the car lets you know (not beading well, etc.).
Meguiar's shampoos and QD's won't remove wax. You can get some Meguiar's Spray Quik Wax and mist your car after a wash AS you dry it. Meg's Leather conditioner is safe for vinyl.

Thank you, Stephen. I appreciate the help. And thank you Jlt23 and Admin Stoops, for the back up. It was the first time that I have ever properly washed, clay-barred, and waxed a vehicle. And I just used the Meguiar's Leather Conditioner on the interior. It smells and looks shweeeet.... Peace be with all of you. wooly - GA to ME (flip-flop from Bear Mountain, New York) 2012.
