Which do you guys like better, specifically for black? NXT or GC. I have a bottle of GC that is rather old and somehow got a lot of water/moisture in it. I am going to replace it but is it time for me to make the switch to NXT? Is NXT better than NXT in any way? I have always used GC so anything but is new to me.

Re: Which and why?
They are both really good waxes. I personally like NXT over Gold Class. That is a personal preference. But I would not use the bottle of Gold Class that you currently have, if you opt to go the Gold Class route.Joel

Re: Which and why?
I've never tried the GC wax so I can't make a comparasion. What I do know is that I prefer NXT with M26 on dark paint and M16 on light paint. For those who fought for it, freedom has a flavor the protected will never know.

Also that it's a polish/wax, and it contains a small amount of cleaners as does nxt though. Then again if you think about it both leave the surface with a deep-reflective-dark-glossy surface but with nxt having hdrophobic polymer technology too boot, but you can also have that with ultimate quik detailer and ultimate quik wax which you will be using anyway!
My personal favorite combo is 2 coats of M16 over #26! In my opinion it last as long as any other combo out there and looks amazing on dark colors with a well prep surface but then again I know that if it can and does make a darker/black paint look fantastic it does the same for the lighter/white paints it's just that our eyes can't evaluate the difference as easily with a lighter/white paint.
But the only way to know which one is or looks better on your paint will be to see which one looks better in your eyes, so go get a bottle or tin of both and try them side by side for yourself.''USE THE LEAST AGGRESSIVE PRODUCT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT''

Re: Which and why?
It depends what you're after - looks or durability.
IMO my black car has never looked better than when I applied two coats of GC. Similarly to stang_crazy, I also find GC easier / smoother to apply than NXT.
Only problem is, it doesn't last long and I would need to be re-applying every two weeks.
So my preference is NXT. It looks almost as good on black and lasts about 4 times longer (for me).
Then again, that could all change with the introduction of the new GC Carnauba Plus. Perhaps you should get some of that and let us know what it's like!Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Which and why?
I think I will be sticking with GC. Just need to try out different polishes to put on top of M205, for that deep look I want! Thanks for the tips guys!My automotive related blog! http://hereishowiviewthings.blogspot.com/
