Had a chance to try this new wheel cleaner. It's a color changing wheel cleaner.
Here's are some quick photos.
Rear label with directions.
Here's the wheel I was trying this out on. My dad has a habit of not washing the wheels on it and well this is what happens. There is some embedded brake dust on them so that was not removed by the wheel cleaner. The brake dust also did not contain a lot of iron material.
Sprayed liberally on the wheels. It comes out as white foam. I was hoping that this didn't come with a foaming sprayer. For one it uses more product and I find it doesn't cling to well.
Here's a close up of the color changing effect. It looks pinkish with the white foam.
It could be this wheel design but it did not cling to it. Most of it rolled off after a few seconds. On another wheel I found it stuck to the surface better after an initial blast of water.
Like all wheel cleaners agitation helps. I used a couple of my wheel brushes to agitate it and rinse it off. Here's the finished wheel.
Final thoughts:
As I stated to me this resembled DUB wheel cleaner. Like DUB, the scent is still bad.
Foaming action from the sprayer is good. Has two settings on it for foam.
Although this product states that it clings well, I was not able to see that.
Sprayer doesn't have the tab like DUB which is really nice. Easier to twist it on and off.
For $8 it's hard to pass up to give it a try.
