My review of the Super Suede Drying cloth.
Packaging & Labeling:
As always, the packaging and labeling was fine.
Usage Tips/Directions:
Good directions and usage tips.
Performance:
Well, I’ll be the first one to admit that I don’t use chamois very often… natural or synthetic. However, that does not have anything to do with the performance of this towel. It works exactly as described… it holds a considerable amount of water for it’s size, and if used correctly, it will not harm the paint. It also “slides” across the paint surface very well… better than the natural chamois in my opinion. The trick with this one, and with most chamois, is to keep it “wrung” out (just damp). I actually prefer this one to the new natural chamois (and they are very good).
With any chamois, some extra care when using it must be followed… they can cause scratches.
Value:
Certainly a good price for a synthetic chamois.
Conclusions:
This will make a fine blotting towel for those who like to use a chamois.
Pros:
Very absorbent
Cleans up nicely
Looks to be very durable
Cons:
It’s still a chamois.
Initial Ratings:
Joe Consumer will need to be very careful using one of these.
Consumer rating = 7
An experienced enthusiast who knows how to use one of these should like it a lot.
Detailing Enthusiast rating = 9
