  • Review of Versa Angle Wide Body Brush

I used the Ultra Plush Wash Mop previous to this product and was very happy with it. I don't see how they could improve on it too much. But they did with the Versa Angle Wide Body Brush.

It's packaged in that hard plastic blister pack. It's a hassle to open it, but it protects the brush very well so I can see why they package it that way. It leaves an area near the brushes open so the user can see how soft the bristles are. The instructions say that you can use the long telescoping brush with it which IMHO that would be very handy. I can wash most of the car without moving to the buckets to the other side of the car and having to walk around the car. This could be a time saver!

The instructions also say that it is sized to fit a 5 gallon bucket. This is true. But if you tilt the brush slightly it will also fit in a 3 gallon bucket. Before I used it, I was afraid that I would have to buy a second 5 gallon bucket (I only have one) to be able to accomodate the brush. I should mention here that I do use the 2 bucket method when I wash my car. So I used the 5 gallon bucket for rinsing and the 3 gallon bucket for the soap, which was NXT Car Wash.

The brush is of extremely high quality! The bristles are very soft and do not scratch the paint at all. Dirt particles tend to migrate up the brush and away from the paint. Plus, the bristle pattern is very dense so the brush can hold a lot of suds and water. This is also a time saver as fewer trips to the buckets are required compared to other brushes. Pluse the dense pattern means fewer missed spots and a high quality wash job!

One thing I really like about this brush is the width of it, about 50% wider than the Ultra Plush Wash Mop, a product that I already tried and liked very much. The increased width means fewer passes to wash the car, another time saver.

Because the bristles are so dense, it does take a long time for them to dry off! Not a major problem considering how well the brush works. I recommend hanging it on a wall to dry where the bristles will not be contaminated by anything else.

The brush is also very easy to clean. All you need to do is rinse it off with a hose.

This will come in very handy in the winter time when it is cold and you don't like to get your hands wet. Tim will especially appreciate this. The standard Body Brush can be used to reach the smaller areas, which it does very well.

This is an excellent product! It is the first thing I will reach for after my rinse and NXT Car Wash Buckets are full!

    Hey RamAirV1,

    Excellent review!

I totally agree. The Body Brush is another excellent product that Meg's introduced this year! I have always been leery to use a brush on paint. But like you said, the ultra soft bristles work very well! Mike uses his with the telescopic handle from the Ultra Wash Mop to wash the top of his Honda Pilot.

And...I also agree; anything that will keep my hands warm when trying to wash a car in freezing temperatures is a plus! Now...if I can only find a way to keep the garden hose from freezing!!

When i was up in Mass. i had a plumber put a hot and cold water line in my garage. I wasnt into detailing then, but i did wash my vehicles every month or so hahah, but it came in real handy !

Now in Florida, i need to find a way to get ice water in my hose

From the looks of your garage, which is attached to your house, I figured you had water faucets in the garage. And the hose still freezes? Yikes! Well it does get a lot colder up there.

How about A/C in the garage? That's what I want! I did get an 18" fan which should help. But for obvious reasons I can't use it when I'm washing the car.

Here in Indy, we never hit 90 degrees last summer, which is very unusual, but we've already hit 90 this spring.
