  • 96 Citroen makeover

    Hi.

Did this 96 Citroen Reflex for a customer today. I got it at 10 o clock and they picked it up at 4, so it was some intence 6 hours.

    The tools used where:

    Wash with NXT car wash
Clayed with claybar and NXT car wash.
    W-7000 with #84
    W-8000 with #80
    both applied with a rotary.
#21, applied with a orbital polisher wit dual heads and very soft pads.

    Here are the before's:

It seemed like this 10 year old car had never received any protection at all, during it's lifetime. The owner claimed that she and her dad had desperately tried to get the get the shine back. I didn't ask what brand they where using...

    Not much "reflexion" here...

Apparently this car had been used as a demo by a dealer, because it had stickermarks on hood, sides and trunklid.

This is part of the roof.

    ..more of the roof.

...and this is how the hood looked like..

Rest of the pictures will be posted tomorrow....

      Tusen takk/Thank you...

      Here are some halfways...
I had to do 2-3 rounds with #84.

you can see the difference in the corner of the window..

...these rails made it a little "more fun" to work on the roof..

        Done...

Well, here are the final photo's.
In the "land of the midnight sun" it usually rains during the days and this day is no exeption...
Due to the limited time, and because the owner will be switching tires soon, (the car had winter-tires on) I didn't do anything with them, other than wash.

        Here goes...

        shot inside...

        stickermarks are gone...

        hood....

roof, a little out of focus...

        closeup.

        And some comparison shots....

        Hood, from this...

        ...to this.

        Roof, from this...

        ...to this.

        The owner was very happy..

Please be aware that I'm doing this as a hobby, and I only get cars by "word of mouth".

            Well done.....again
Detailing cars is a form of art. Most appreciate it, few possess the required skill and even fewer understand it.

                Hi.

I use #38 Tire & trim dressing gel. But this Citroen's trim was so dried out, that it sucked it right in, and the owner didn't have time for a second layer.
I also use Hyper Dressing. A product that have amazed both me and the customers. I love doing engine detailing and it will transform almost any engine compartment to new, or better than new state.

This is from a 97 Mercedes 200 E, and the Hyper Dressing is very thinned out, due to running low. Normally HD will have a very glossy look:

Meguiar's allways surprices and I think they will continue doing that in the future.
