  • Good before/after shots...

Finished this truck up the other day. Going to upload the rest of the pics sometime within the next few days, but thought this before/after shot was pretty awesome. I always forget what the vehicle looked like when I started the job. This just shows how bad off it really was

And believe it or not, that was a single step process with M105 and a Meguiar's G110 Just goes to show that ANYONE can achieve results like this!

The subaru that I did was finished with just 105 on a CCS white pad, then just topped with Nxt2.0

can't wait to see the rest of the vehicle! looks great!

                    Awesome job!
                    So, single-stage w/ m105...
What pad, and what machine, and how many "passes" for a given work area did you use? (Assuming a work area would be a ~14''X14'' square--you name it. Also, I don't know what a "pass" is either, because the thread about it didn't enlighten me ). Please inform!

What a difference. The clarity of the paint is fantastic.
                      quality creates its own demand

Everyone's interpretation of "a pass" is different. For me, a pass is 1 cycle on the paint. Meaning, apply the product, work that product in a few different directions, then wipe product off. This would equal 1 pass.

Single stage meaning 1 product and 1 pass(see above), this does not mean single stage type paint(no clear coat).

This was a Harley edition Ford truck, base and clear coat. 1 pass(see above) around the entire truck with M105, and a couple of spots where I had to make 2 passes(see above).

I'm sure you're even more confused than you were before

Flash back to Christmas time, 2007. We're working on the custom boat for Alpine Electronics 2008 CES project. M105 has just been released and we're using it on the boat, pulling out 1,000 grit sanding marks in some cases. Joe Fernandez of Superior Shine is there and I ask him:

"So Joe, what do you think of this new M105?"

                              "I hate it" he replies.

"Hate it", I ask, "but why?"

He turns to look at me and says "Because it means that now even you can detail almost as good as I do."

                              Funny guy, that Joe.
