86 Monte SS checking on decklid

This nice 1 owner G body came in & typical GM paint horror shows from the 80's . this one is lacquer. It was so bad I didn't even do anything but a wash , But being stubborn I tried a few products on 1/2 of the trunk to see what would happen. It came out better than I thought , is there any hope ?
