  • Monster Shine

Here is what we did today.

This vehicle had moderate swirls and scratches. We use a rotory/8006 pad- DACP first followed by PC/8006 pad-speed glaze.

We completed the job with a coat of #21.

    Nice reflection shots!

I'm curious, did you use Hyper Dressing on the tires? With huge tires like that I'm just wondering what is considered the sidewall? That is--how far into the treads did you apply it? Assuming you dressed them.

      Looks good Joe,

Is M21 your default product for most of your work now?

that is so cool. I love it!!
can that be done with light color paint?
or darker color just comes out that good?

I would love that kind of shine for my light color SUV.

        great job

The nature of light colors is that they don't offer the ability to reflect images well, they offer no depth. Yes you can get objects to reflect out of white paint, but not anywhere near what you can get with black or dark colred paints.

Next time your around a new white car, (perhaps the next time you at a new car dealership), and hold you hand or some object next to the paint and look at the reflected image, then try this with a new black car. You'll see the difference in ability right away and this is with brand new paint.

Its the nature of the color.

                Yes we used hyper dressing.

Mike, I jumped on #21 from #20 when it came out. We recently have gone back to #20 because I had a bunch left over from the school bus job. I forgot how much I liked #20.

Right now we are using #20 on older light colors and #21 on pristine darker colors.

When it will be time to order new wax I am not sure which I will go with.

I am using a dual xenon light to reveal swirls. Do a search on MOL and you will find a few threads about it.

JOE--Dual Xenon??? I just got one of those Brinkmanns Xenon lights that looks like the one you are holding Joe but maybe there is more than one model because I can't get both the halogen bulb and the xenon bulb to be on at the same time as yours seems to do in the reflection shots. I asked for this for Christmas because i had heard so much about it on this site and now I am wondering if maybe mine is the wrong model. It looks the same though but has a switch to shine either the xenon light or the halogen light but not both at the same time. Did I miss something?? Thanks,
                      Trent W.

Yes you hav the model with one halogen and one xenon.

My light has both bulbs xenon.

No worries as I use one bulb most of the time any way.

Hey, thanks for clearing that up because I didn't know they was more than one model of those and now I will have to keep my eye out. Thank you kindly sir.
