  • Heavy Swirled Black 98 Explorer - Exterior + Engine

A lot worse than I thought it would be! Managed to get maybe 90-95% of the marring out, the rest was too deep (Looks like someone hated this suv)

Started with #83, but didn't like how it was working, so I went back to SSR2.5 to finish my bottle off.

    Wash
    Clay
Megs #83 / SSR2.5 on Orange LC Pad
Megs #9 on White LC pad
    Klasse SG
    S100

    On the engine:
Diluted Simple Green spray down and agitate
    Dressed with 303 Aerospace

    Heres our subject

    Befores

Clearcoat failure? Looks like what I saw on another post on someones Civic; little rice grain shaped white marks.

Are those scratches/swirls? or is that just something in the background reflecting off the paint?

ZR, two of those lines are deep scratches, the rest is just background junk reflecting oddly.

Funny, thats two of my threads that people said should be in that section haha.

                Awesome work

Hey M3...I am the one who posted the clear coat failure on the red civic. I was never able to get that look out of the hood. Were you able to find a way to get that rice grain/fiberglass look out of the hood?

                Awesome work on that car!

Yes I had posted the pics of my dad's Civic. Great job on the Explorer.
