  • 2003 Honda Odyssey EX

    Hello all,

This is my mom's 2003 Honda Odyssey EX, not the nicest car but I like detailing it. So today I decided to deatil it, see how nice I could get it looking. I wash the car once a week and wax twice a month.

Here is my process and products used:
    1) Wash Wheels with Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner
    2) Wash Body with Gold Class Shampoo & Conditioner
    3) Dry
    4) Clay Hood and Roof w/Quik Clay Kit (clayed entire car last week)
    5) Applied Deep Crystal System Paint Cleaner w/High Tech Applicator Pad
6)Applied Deep Crystal System Polish w/High Tech Applicator Pad
    7) Applied Deep Crystal System Carnauba Wax w/High Tech Applicator Pad
    8) Applied Gold Class Liquid Wax w/High Tech Applicator Pad

Tires are dressed with Hot Shine High Gloss Tire Coating.

Trim Interior/Exterior and Engine is dressed with Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant

Conditioned Leather with Gold Class Leather Cleaner & Conditioner

After all that I can barely type because my arms are so sore and tired. I didn't get any before pictures but I have a couple afters. The whole detail took about 7 1/2 Hours, but in my opinion it was worth every second. Eventhough it might not look good to some of the profesional deatailers on here it, I think it looks pretty good, considering I am only 15 years old and did it all by hand. Sorry for the long post and enjoy the pictures!!

    Thanks

looks real nice. What did you stand on to do the roof?

I did my Honda Pilot last week and was exhausted when it was over. It was a real pain doing the roof, I had go up and down a step ladder about 1,000 times.

The Odyssey is bigger than the Pilot, so I know how you feel. To do a car that big, you must work fast. It took me 16 hours!

I just opened the sliding doors and the front doors for the front and middle part of the roof and for the back I used a step ladder. With the pilot you could problably do the same thing.

When I'm being lazy with my own cars, I'll stand on top of the back tires. That gives a nice vantage point for the roof.

Looking really good mate- - a massive vehicle, you must be really tires after that!

i would have to disagree.your detail looks just as good as anyone else's on here, and it shows. not to mention, how much passion you put into it by hand! great job!

Not only does it look great but you did all that work by hand. Makes my back hurt just thinking about it. And to think I've been putting off doing my Toyota van because of how long it'll take and I have a DA Polisher.
BTW, I would think that the professional detailers on here would think it looks incredible. That's quality work for a 15 year old or a 51 year old or anywhere in between.

My arms were pretty tired after doing all that but my mom decided to pay me for it !!!

Normally I just wash/detail the cars for my parent for free and they buy me the supplies I need i.e. wax/polish etc. I think it's a pretty fair deal.

                  Thanks for all the comments!!
