  • Just detailed new XK

    Hi all,

After a 6 month wait I finally took delivery of my new Jag XK yesterday, I spent all day today detailing it. I havent done this before so the tips and feedback on this forum have been a great help.

I first washed it with NXT , there were no obvious swirls or scratches so i proceeded to clay it. I thought this wouldnt yield much but it certainly did. Followed this with deep crystal polish then NXT tech wax.

It came up a treat, I'm very happy though the wife thinks I'm nuts.( the photos look better in the gallery I think)

    Thanks Again all

Forgot to say that the Jag looks wonderful, Jaguar has got back to the right track, they were out of creativity I guess

Oh BTW Ford sold Jaguar and Land Rover to TATA Motors a couple of days ago

          Great looking car!

For a second I thought you detailed a Jeep commander.

Is "XK" some internal Jeep code as well, because the only thing I thought of was Jaguar. Then again, I'm not an SUV guy.

oh no..... thats not good..... just when the future was looking a little brighter for them losing the boring old people car image.... looks like its going to be another dark period for them until they get saved by the germans hopefully.....

whats up with british car companies all being bought out..... kind of sad....

I'd love to have a new XK like that...Sadly, I'd probably have to give up the old XK I've got for it.

I'm jealous, that detail job looks great on it!
