  • NXT Over #7 & #83

First time I have ever used the combo this way!

Last time I used # 7 over NXT then topped with P21S, but I wanted to see NXT over #7 this time without any other topper!

I think it worked out well!

I see a nice wet look and that's something I usually have to "fight" for on a Silver Paint! Not this time...lol

Sorry for the indoor shots! Owner would not let me take vehicle out as it was very windy and he has a gravel & lime stone driveway! (See the rocks in the tires..lol)

    Edited to add:

#83 with PC on Polishing Pad @ speed 5

#7 with PC on finishing pad @ speed 2, buffed off by hand!

NXT with PC on finishing pad @ speed 3, buffed off with U/B at speed 4.5

      Thanks gb387,

The U/B's are very good! I like them very much!

Very soft and are holding up well after repeated buffing and washing!

      Overall a good quality product!

I use them on an old polishing pad with 2 terry towel bonnets underneath just to add some plushiness to them!

        Whoa!!!!!!

That was my first reaction when I saw the first picture! The car looks awesome!

My wife bought me a new Passat this spring by surprise. The color is blue anthracite (more like charcoal grey).

Since it was a surprise, I didn't pick the color. I like dark color cars so I wasn't real happy with the paint color at first. It’s hard to get that deep wet look on silver/grey. I've tried several combos this summer and finally hit on the product combo that gives me the look I want it.

I now use #81, NXT x2, and #16 as a topper. My car just looks awesome. It looks wet and has a nice glow and reflection in shade or in the sun. It’s very much like the results you are showing here. I was at the Woodward Dream Cruise here in the Detroit area this past weekend and received several compliments on how well my car looked from bystanders.

I'm not trying to take away from your post and efforts. If anything, I’m supporting your efforts and results! I just thought I'd share with others that may have this shade of color car that I received very similar results. If you have a darker silver/grey car, you too can have that great wet, glowing look!

f1guy68, again, you did an awesome job!!! Makes me smile!
A great finish begins with the right start!

Hey..Thanks for the comments! I appreciate it!

I have no problem with you sharing a personal success with me in a post I make! It's all about loving what we do and sharing the ideas!

I will try your combo on the next silver/gray car I get..It sounds very nice and worthwhile! It means I will have to get some #16 though...lol Oh well, can never have enough products to choose from...lol

          Thanks Again!

              Vandelete,

              Thanks for the comments!

I could only WISH that that was my garage, but sadly it isn't...boo hoo hoo!

It's massive! And it's way up in the woods with no one around..so peaceful and relaxing and best of all..no city noise!
