Alright, I know I already posted a my first customer thread but I ended up having a second customer schedule an earlier appointment. Making them my "first" customer but really my second. Anyway, the car was a VW Beetle in red. It really hasn't been abused in any way. Just hadn't been cleaned in a long time. There was a lot of bonded sap and grain that needed removed and VW also has a known problem of leaky door seals which tends to get grease all over the car. This one also had some silver paint smeared on it. Whole car took me a hair under 5 hours. 4:52 to be precise.
The process was:
Wash wheels and tires with soap and water
Dress tires with Tire Shine Gel
Wash car with Gold Class Shampoo
Dry with Supreme Shine Microfiber
Clay with Smooth Clay and Quick Detailer
Apply 2 coats of Gold Class Wax
Clay windows with Smooth Clay and Quick Detailer
Clean windows with NXT Glass Cleaner
Here is the car before:
I found my two worst enemies were the grease and the paint.
^^You can see the paint in the center of the picture. It is smeared in a few different places.
Although the paint was nothing some clay and QD couldn't handle. The driver's door did a number on the clay though.
Finally here are all the after shots.
Here you can see all the grease is gone.
Here you can see the paint is gone.
