    RUDY'S RACER

Rudy wanted a race car mail box. In a day or two I will sand with 2500 and buff.

You made that? If so... What did you make it out of?

It looks like it is made out of wood. You used Sikkens on it? Nothing but the best for the maibox!!

I would have never thought you could get a reflection and shine like that on wood!

Great work! Looks like a fun project!

Thanks, It was a lot of fun, Rudy is 5 and loves Lightening McQueen He did a lot of sanding on it. With wood you need to sand in in 100 grit steps 120,240,320,400,600 than I seal it with 2 coats of clear, let that set and sand it with 800 than 3 good coats of color let set, sand with 1500 than 2-3 coats clear. You just need to fill the pours in the wood and your good to go.

                            LOL. Me too!

My work used to hold pinewood derby races for United Way. I got "best of show" or "best paint" every year.

I'll have to take some pics.

Nice work on the mail box!
