2001 Ford Ranger XLT
Well, this is yesterdays work but the pictures were taken today. I didnt spend too much time on this truck since other things need to get done. But it was pretty oxidized, Which is about right for a truck that hasnt been washed in three years. This truck has only 10,000 miles by the way.
First things first, I washed it with NXT Generation Car Wash, washed the wheels with Wheel Brightener , degreased the tires with All Purpose Cleaner and dried the truck.
Then I clayed it with the Smooth Surface Clay Kit and Last Touch Spray Detailer at 1:1.
The red paint was very flat and not reflective at all. Ultimate Compound
on the D.A at speed 5 with a SoftBuff 2.0 Polishing Pad did the trick. After Compounding work was completed I didnt want to use a pure wax but finish out with a light AIO. So I waxed the truck with #20 - Polymer Sealant.
The tires, trim and wheelwells were dressed with All Season Dressing, the glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate and the chrome was brought back eo life with Ultimate Compound.
I wiped down the entire interior with All Purpose Cleaner and used a scrub brush with it on the rubberized floor as well. Then the rubberized floor was treated with Hyper-Dressing at 1:1. Then the inside of the cab was finished off with Quik Interior Detailer.
While not that fun to detail, its still a job.
