  • Trashed New Dodge Caravan Detail... beware of the filth

First time posting a detail on this forum, hope you guys will enjoy. A lady brought us a newer Dodge Caravan today to have detailed.... didnt expect such a mess. It took two of us over 6 hours to complete it and even then not perfect because the lady had to leave and we were rushed but still looks great. I was AMAZED at the results swirlX left me with.... her car wasnt bad to begin with but I figured I'd give swirlX a try and if it doesnt work I'd pull out the PO85 but MAN! It did an awesome job. Only issue is TechWax keeps leaving streaks.... Going out to invest in a LGM Pro heat tomorrrow....

    Wash:
    -Megs Gold Class
    -Microfiber Mitts
-2 Bucket Method with Grit Guard

    Clay:
    -Mothers Clay
    -Megs Quik Detailer

    Polish:
    -SwirlX

    Wax:
    -NXT Tech Wax 2.0

    Interior:
    -Tuff Stuff
    -Nylon Brush
    -Craftsman Shop Vac
-Bucket filled with water and oxyclean
    -Misc Cleaners
    -M40
    -Quik Interior Detailer

    Misc:
    -Back to Black
    -Megs Tire Shine
    -Stoners Invisible Glass

    BEFORES:

    (bike scrape.... came out though)

Interior: (she claimed the beach and 13 year olds did it....)

    Beware under the seats...

Here starts the cleaning. Second row removed:

    Cleaned up

2nd Row Removed to be Cleaned

    In the process...

    Yep, nasty water/oxyclean mix

    Final Product

    Back to the exterior:

    After Polish:

    After Wax:

The lady was pleased and I think it turned out well, with more time it wouldve been perfect! Thanks for looking!

Question: Why did the lady brought her car to someone to have the interior cleaned???

Answer: So she could enjoy trashing the interior all over again. And the cycle continues.

Hopefully the team charged extra extra. I know I would have.
If they did, they probably aren't complaining and not worried about her next visit… they can handle it.

What did you use to remove the bike scratch?

Pleased? She should be thrilled that her kid hauler was brought back to such a sanitary state! Well done.

Nice turnaround! Always beware of the bags of 'science projects' found under the seats of mini-vans!

Dave, your username looks exactly like mine from far away. I thought I posted on two threads at the same time.

                            That van was hideous!

I have two of them, and neither of them ever look like that.

Great job on the clean-up guys!
