This 2010 Chevy Tahoe was brought to my by the owner because he was unhappy with paint defects and scratches from the dealer (DISO).
Many of the scratches were very deep so the best I could do was to reduce their appearance - most could be felt with a fingernail.
After a 3-bucket wash
I clayed and pulled off more contamination that I would have thought from a new vehicle:
(flash washed it out a bit)
I treated the scratches with M105 on a 4" LC pad on the PC @ Speed 6/5 (KBM):
Hood scratch before
and after
After treating the scratches, I polished first with M105 via 5.5" LC white pad on the PC:
Knocked down some orange peel:
Before
after:
Final polishing was accomplished with M205 via 5.5" LC white pad on PC @ speed 5/4.5 (KBM)
(Special thanks to Chris, my new assistant - he did a fine job)
Wheels were washed with All Wheel Cleaner
then tires were dressed with Endurance tire gel and wheels polished with Hot Rims
The paint was sealed with M21:
... and the sun tells the tale:
Total time spent: 26 man hrs
Thanks for looking
