  • In the pursuit of perfection... Paint Correction :)

Today I got home from school having picked up some No7 and ColorX yesterday and thought, "you know... that finish could be clearer". I didn't want to start on homework or dinner so I set out to try my best to clear up the hood. It's rainy and nasty here so I'll have to try to keep my baby inside the garage until it clears up.

Here's what I started with: (Not too shabby but its been a year since its last compound and polish and swirls/hazing was starting to come out)

    Before:

After M205 on a White LLC Pad PC Speed 5

Pretty clear but not there yet

    After M07 by hand

New Gold Class Wax Applied by hand (probably a little too thick too)

    After Wax

Phew. Sorry for the mass of pictures. Its probably about 95% correction but it looks amazing! Don't know when Ill find time for the rest of the car... but the hood will get a second coat of wax tomorrow.

    Thanks for looking!
