  • Trashed Chevy Cobalt

2006 Chevy Cobalt, 60k on the clock and was definitly in need of a good cleanup. Exterior and interior were pretty trashed to say the least.

The car belongs to an employee of a local doctors office I do a couple weekly washes for , its employee appreciation week and he is treating all fifteen of his employess with a basic exterior/interior detail.

    A few befores:

Washed the wheels, tires, and wells with Deep Crystal Car Wash, All Purpose Cleaner, and various brushes:

Car was washed with Shampoo Plus and bugs and tar were treated with Body Solvent:

After the car was washed and dried, I detailed the trunk and trunk jambs:

Cleaned out by hand, vacummed, then wiped down with All Purpose Cleaner:

I then made my way into the interior. I started by cleaning out the door jambs with All Purpose Cleaner and a damp terry cloth, then sealed with #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer.

I then vacummed every inch of the interior, cleaned every single surface with All Purpose Cleaner, that included the carpets and floormats. I then dressed the center console area with Quik Interior Detailer, and dressed all black plastic and vinyl with Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant.

    Befores:

    After:

I lightly clayed the paint with Detailing Clay (Mild) and Last Touch Spray Detailer. I then applied a thin coat of #20 - Polymer Sealant via G110 and several W8207 pads. Tires and wheelwells dressed with All Season Dressing, glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1.

What a great turnaround. I bet the rest of the employees are fighting, who's next. Keep up the great work, Nick.

What do you mean? Are you asking what products I used on the car?
