  • 2007 Jeep Compass Interior (bridal motorcade detail)

This is a follow-up to the exterior detail I did for a family member's Jeep back in April. http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/sho...7+jeep+compass

My sister is getting married this weekend, and this is the car that she'll be taking to the church, so it was important that the leather seats, the carpet and floormats, the doors and door handles, pretty much anything that the wedding dress !!!! would touch be absolutely clean.
With that being said, ignore any left over crumbs/dirt that I left in nooks/crannies by center console.
This car was pretty gross, there was about a 25 or 30 gallon garbage bag full of garbage to pull out before I got started. It hadn't been vacuumed in quite a while, and had been through a few road trips/winters since then. The dashboard was really funky: it had fuzz/dust/hair that would barely move when rubbed with finger.

I think I'm going lazy here; I'll blurb out the process then slap up the pictures, it was hot out there today!
    • Interior completely vacuumed,
    • Carpets under floormats shampooed with Quik Out aerosol and upholstery brush (floormats were so trashed, I really didn't bother other than to brush and vac)
    • All plastics cleaned with APC and sponge at (10:1), then rinsed and wiped with MF. Some areas scrubbed clean with toothbrush.
    • Leather scrubbed with toilet brush and APC (10:1), rinsed, and wiped with MF.
    • Applied GC Leather C&C to seats. Wow factor.
    • Ultimate Protectant on all plastics.
I'll do windows and any remaining touch-ups Saturday, right after I wash this and the other 2 vehicles in the "bridal motorcade"!

This next one is the backseat after APC cleaning; but before the Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. The others of seats are after C&C.

So, I was able to tame and cage that furry dash, after all. Compass looks awesome now, I've been relying on APC over APC+ more and more, the foam helps a lot for cleaning and for reducing usage.

Thanks for checking out this work!

That owner should not be allowed to have his car back for 2 weeks. They are GROUNDED!

        Looks VERY good, Much improved.

Thanks Coopers, J.A., and Black! The owner has vowed to keep the car in top condition with regular cleaning from now on! It's hard to take care of once the interior gets that bad!

            Interior looks good.

There's no excuse for the inside of a car to look like that. If it got that once, my money is on it getting there again.

I agree. That car was TRASHED...both literally and figuratively.
