  • Camry, Odyssey

80k on this 2005 Camry. Interior was pretty decent, exterior was not in good shape, all sorts of dents, dings and scratches. Looked a little better after it got cleaned up a bit .

Washed the wheels, tires, and wells with Deep Crystal Car Wash, Super Degreaser, All Purpose Cleaner and various brushes.

    Spray....

    Agitate...

    Rinse....

I then washed the car with Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner and Body Solvent where needed.

The trunk was pretty bad, really slowed the detail down.

    Vacummed the whole trunk first...

The mat was cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, a stiff ADS carpet brush dipped in really hot water, then extracted with a water from a hoes, large bath towels, and my shop vac.

    During....

    After..

    Its about 94% dry

The interior was cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, cotton towels, and variosu brushes. Then dressed with Quik Interior Detailer. Clear plastic was cleaned with #18 - Clear Plastic Detailer. The door jambs were wiped clean with Last Touch Spray Detailer and all the glass was cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1

Driver's mat was destroyed, the Camry stitching is peeling off and its just plain worn out.

The exterior of the car was clayed, I then applied D151 Paint Conditioning Cream with my PC at speed 4, I used several W8207 pads. I then applied a coat of NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0 by hand. The tires and wheelwells were dressed with Hyper-Dressing at 3:1. The wheels were sealed with my 70/30 mix of Ultimate Quik Wax
and #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer.

    ............................................................................................

2005 Honda Odyssey, a little over 60k. Most of the time was spent on the interior, exterior was just given a basic wash and seal.

Washed the wheels, tires, and wells with Deep Crystal Car Wash, Super Degreaser, Wheel Brightener , All Purpose Cleaner, and various brushes.

    Spray...

    Agitate...

    Rinse....

The van was then washed with Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner and Body Solvent where needed.

    After wash...

Interior was not in that great of shape, I spent nearly two hours just vacumming and dry brushing...

All surfaces were cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner, cotton towels, and various brushes. Leather was cleaned the same way but with a brush. All vinyl, plastic, and leather was dressed with Quik Interior Detailer.

After dry brushing and vacumming the carpets I cleaned them with All Purpose Cleaner, hot water and a brush, then extracted them with my shop vac, water, and cotton towels. All door and trunk jambs cleaned with All Purpose Cleaner then sealed with my 70/30 mix of #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer and Ultimate Quik Wax. Windows were cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate at 10:1.

The rubber mats were scrubbed with All Purpose Cleaner and a brush, rinsed down, let to dry, then dressed with Hyper-Dressing at 5:1.

    50/50 vacumming

The exterior was clayed, then cleaned and polished with #66 - Quick Detailer (Cleaner/Wax) and my PC set at speed 4, I used several W8207 pads. The paint and wheels were sealed with my 70/30 mix of #135 - Synthetic Spray Detailer and Ultimate Quik Wax. Tires and fenderwells were dressed with All Season Dressing.

Both vehicles look fantastic, Nick. What a turnaround on the Camry. Looks 1000% improved. @ hours vacuuming the Odyssey. Wow, that must have been a huge mess. I am sure both owners thought they were giving a new vehicle. Great work as always.

Nice work Tracy. How are you liking PRC 151? I've used quite a bit so far and it's quickly become one of my favorites.

Awesome, let us know what you think. The vehicle does not have to be brand new or in great shape. It works very well on daily drivers, cleans up the paint really well.

Thanks. I am still playing Mr Chemist with UQW and M135.

What I do is fill 70% of an empty UQD bottle with M135, then add the UQW. I then shake the bottle really well and usually seal the wheels, paint, and doorjambs with it.

So far it works fine, I really like it. Its not recommended by Meguiars but I do not think anything bad will come of it.

Thanks John. The van had a lot of dirt and debris and I just wanted to make sure all of it was vacummed up. It looked way better just after vacumming and dry brushing.

excellent work nick. you make it look so easy. you are truly an inspiration. and now i see why you use deep crystal on wheels, i used it on my car last week and i didn't like it, so instead of tossing it i'll use it for wheels and engine bays and such. i live in chicago what parts are you from? i see all the lol plates in your posts.

I must ask....why don't you stripe the carpet, or go in the same direction? Don't take that the wrong way...just wondering.

Yup, definitely echo with the rest, both Camry and Odyssey looks great. Refreshed I might say.

How is the "custom mix" working on Odyssey?

Not sure whats wrong with me but recently I'm more inclined to get a MPV (something like a Odyssey) rather then a truck. I feel old.

                          Thank you sir.

I like the Deep Crystal Car Wash for wheels, tires, wells, and engines. It is cheap and effective. I am in the New Lenox/Frankfort area.

Not sure why. Not really a fan of stripes.

I like the M135/UQW mix. It feels like I am using a bit of a thicker spray detailer. Wipes on and off with ease, does not streak at all. I might add more UQW and see how that works. I am still playing Mr.Chemist with it.

Im courious, where do you use the BS (Body Solvent)? Ive never bought it and i see you use it a lot, pretty much in all your details.

                              Would you please tell me?
