  • 2006 Subaru Outback - Wet Wet Wet

Being in Australia there are alot of products that are not easy to get hold of. I managed to get hold of M105 and M205 combo via the wonderful world of Ebay and here are the results!

    NXT Gen Wash
    Aggressive clay
    M105
    M205
    Nxt Gen Wax

    Pics speak louder than words.

          Looks very good.

A word of advice though; in your next before/after shots you take try to use the same lighting. The third set of before/afters show a staggering amount of swirls with the halogen lighting on them, but then show them all removed with no lighting. It would have a more impacting effect if you showed that you still couldn't see them in that spot with that same halogen lamp on them.

Don't take my criticism the wrong way though; it's just some picture advice. The vehicle looks fantastic

Great job for sure! Looks like Subaru has good paint...very little to no orange peel!

Now that you point it out! Thanks, next time I will note a little more where and how I took the shots. Appreciate the feedback.

Excellent turnaround on that Subie. They are great cars. (I had an older Subaru with well over 250K on the odometer until it was involved in an accident/rear ended).

NICE! Gotta love that Suby paint. Just did the wifes 2010 Forrester with just clay and NXTv2 with the PC. It's silver and the paint just POPS now! She used to have a maroon '98 and I could use #9 and just about get total correction with the PC.

Sure. I had been working up to doing this car for a few months. The owner is a great friend of mine and had driven the car 1500km to do a work course for a few months so I had a few weekends to take some shots, ask you guys what the best method of attack was and go from there. After the initial posting of dull, scratches and cobwebbed pics it was pretty much agreed that 105/205 combo was required. (see thread http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...ad.php?t=43023 for pics and details) A $200AU order was placed on Ebay and I was ready to see what all the hype for the 105/205 combo was about!

Wheels were 'attacked' with Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner as I didn't have any money to order APC after the ebay purchase! I sprayed on the cleaner and agitated with a soft tooth brush until clean.

Wash was completed with Nxt Gen Car Wash and Meguiar's wash mit, single bucket option. Some parts of the trim had to be hand scrubbed with a tooth brush as it had dark red dirt embedded into it.

A full body clay with Meguiar's Aggressive Clay and then I was ready to try the 105.

Small test spot was attempted on the bonnet with the M105 and Wool Pad W4000 and a rotary at about 2000rpm. I was very happy with the results and continued with the rest of the car.

There were a few swirls from the 105 so I followed it up with the M205 and W8207 pad on the DA.

The car was then washed again with the Nxt Gen car wash as I had managed to flick product a little more than anticipated!

The car was coated in Nxt Gen Tech Wax 2.0.

Tyres were dressed in Hot Shine Tyre Spray and windows cleaned with Meguiar's No Smear Glass Cleaner (next purchase some Nxt Gen window cleaner!)

The whole process took about 7 hours while the owner vacuumed and used the Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner for the seats and interior.

I am completely rapped with how the 105/205 combo works and will be using it again when needed!

                            Thanks for the question!

The black is so much more rich and deep.
