My camera ran out of batteries :sigh: so I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted. We're meeting up tomorrow to get more pictures of the end result. I'll post up the best that we get later in the week.
Matt has one of the best looking 10+ Camaros that I've seen rolling around and it was my pleasure to be able to work on it. Once he lowers this thing it's gonna look MEAN
Anyway, for the process....
Foamed the car up with a strong Chemical Guys Wash n Gloss solution and let it set.
Washed the entire car, wheels, doorjambs, and wheel wells with 2 bucket wash method.
Clayed all surfaces (including windows) with Claymagic Blue clay.
Hand dried the flat-black wheels with a Mother's Wheel Waffleweave.
Polished/Sealed the the car with Meguiar's D151 on a white pad set on speed 6 of my PC.
Did a final wipe-down with TW Ice Synthetic Spray Sealant on paint, windows and lights (one of the few TW products I like because it can be used to seal windows).
Dressed the tires with Chemical Guys Trim Gel.
Dressed the wheel wells with Chemical Guys Bare-Bones Undercarriage spray.
Dressed rear diffuser, front grill, and front lower grill with CG Trim Gel.
Wiped down the exhaust tips with Mothers Metal Polish.
FWIW D151 is an amazing product. It is like an AIO on steroids. We wet-sanded a very small spot on the roof and D151 cleaned it right up while still finishing off perfectly and leaving down it's own sealant. It works as hard as you want it to and seems to work fast. This was my first full detail using it (have used it sparingly in the past) and it was fantastic. I plan on making it a staple in me detailing arsenal. I don't know what other single product could do as much as this does in terms of a single step machine-polishing.
For the results...
I will let you know now that it was very tough to get these flat black wheels to not show any spotting :P
This was a pretty decent shot showing the depth I was able to get out of the silver paint.
Backed it up to get a picture in the sun to show some reflection shots....but my camera died after two quick pictures. I was....annoyed.
Thanks for looking!!
I can't wait to get some GOOD pictures tomorrow
