This is my mom's daily driver, as the nice son that I am I always take care of her car for free. Last Thursday, I did a nice cleaning for them to go out of town for a few days. When they got back this is what they brought back.

    This is the before shot.

Here is a shot of the wheels before I started as well.

This is part of the scratch that ran down the side of the vehicle. This is on the back pillar.

This is another scratch below the one above.

This is just a shot of the hood, notice that lack of depth and clarity.

This is the scratch on the hood, you can also notice that the light from the flash is very distorted from swirls and stuff like that.

This the same section of the hood after just using the D300. The scratch is gone and the flash is nice and clean.

    Here are the wheels now!

The hood again at the end after the D300 and D301.

The back pillar again, no scratches again.

The back pillar with no flash, and you can now read the shirt I'm wearing. This is from about 3 feet or so away.

The finished car! Needless to say, mom is very happy!

For those who think that you can't get reflections in a lighter colored car, haven't ever tried. I know it isn't as good as a darker colored car, but it isn't bad.

For the process, it was a very simple one since this is a free job and didn't have a lot of time. The total time start to finish was about 4 hours including a dinner break and time to walk the dog.

    Wash (2 bucket method)
    Clay
    D300
    D301
Endurance dressing on the tires, the trim and the wheel wells.

Thank you. They went to a family reunion and then went to visit some other family members. The GPS told them to take one route and they told it they wanted an alternate, the alternate was an old country, muddy road. Mom said the road looked like a cattle road. Dad thinks it just got washed out with the storms.
There was a tree that they had to go over and I think that was the culprit of the scratches. I couldn't believe it either. Their total miles was probably only about 250-300. So I couldn't believe this was the end result.
