This was just a cleaning/protection detail on a newer vehicle kept in pretty good shape.

The owner stated the car had never really been done right before either. Had less than 9k miles, ended up taking a little over five hours.

    Before:

    Pressure wash.
    Foamed/washed with Hyper-Wash.
Wheels & tires cleaned with Wheel Brightener 4:1 & Purple Power 1:1.
Bugs soaked with 3D Bug Remover.
IronX on lower panels & rear hatch.
    Re wash.
Clay with Meguiars blue clay & ONR.

    During:

The interior was in clean shape. Just needed a vacumm & wipedown.

    Exterior.

    Opti-Seal x2 on paint & wheels,
Glass cleaned with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1.
    Tires dressed with #40 - Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner/Conditioner.
Wheel wells dressed with Hyper-Dressing 2:1
    Tar stripped with Tarminator.

    Great job as always Nick!!!

What do you think of opti-seal? Does it last a long time? Also, you have any plans on picking up TarX? That's on my wishlist. I really like IronX (except the smell) and I'm sure I'll be impressed with TarX as well.

      Looks real nice!

Opti-Seal really makes the metallic jump out.

Do you find Ironx is a time saver?

        Thanks guys.

Been using Opti Seal for a couple months now, I need to see more vehicles I have applied it to, that way I can see how its holding up.

Right now I am happy with Tarminator, maybe sometime down the road I will pick up the TarX.

        Shawn,

IronX saves hours on claying time IMO.

              Nick, nice work.

Beyond your hourly rate, do you charge for materials too?

                Geat work as always!

I really like how the tires and wheel wells look when detailed, if it is not to much problem could you make a tutorial of how do you clean/dress them?

                Thanks!

                  Thank you David.

I try and package price as much as possible, I can usually tell how long a vehicle will take to complete and how much product & material will be used. So when I quote a job I do factor in what I want/need to make per hr and also factor in the cost of materials, gas, insurance, etc. As I am sure you know, every vehicle is hardly ever the same.

The process varies depending on how badly they are neglected.

In most cases I pressure wash them followed by spraying on the appropriate cleaner/degreaser. Then let dwell and power wash again. This knocks off 80% of the dirt and brake dust in most cases. Finally I agitate them by hand manually with soap and water combined with various brushes. Then another pressure wash rinse for final dirt & soap removal.

My choice of wash/prep & degreasing product:

                  Wheel Brightener 4:1.
                  Purple Power 1:1 or FS.
                  3D Orange Degreaser 4:1.
                  All Purpose Cleaner 4:1.

After the cleaning is complete and the tires/wells are left to fully air dry I apply my choice of tire dressing with a mf applicator pad. The wheelwells are sprayed down with dressing, then a standard MF is used to spread around that dressing.

                  My choice of dressings:

                  M40 Vinyl/Rubber Cleaner & Conditioner.
                  Hyperdressing 2:1.
                  All Season Dressing.

Keep in mind its more technique than it is actual product. It took me a couple hundred vehicles to get a fine process tuned in.
