  • My baby got her first bath today!

    Hey...
A few weeks ago I picked up a brand-new 2012 Toyota RAV4 - I told the dealership not to wash it (since it had just come off the truck). Well finally I DID wash her - and gave her a rubdown with some Ultimate Quick Wax and some Gold Class Endurance Tire Gel (applied with a chip brush). In late October during my week off, I plan on giving her a clay-barring and a coat of NXT 2.0.
    Enjoy.

Love the look of the endurance! What's a chip brush?

a chip brush is one of those cheap wooden-handled paint brushes you'd find in Home Depot. The one I use is like a 4-incher

Thanks for that tip, I have been using a sponge, wet it a little..but have thought about the paint brush. Do you trim the bristles at all?

ooooh...yeah...that's a really good idea! Thanks. I'll be giving this a try. This is why I love car forums, gotta a great idea, just pass it on. I normally use an assortment of sponge applicators that wear out quickly. I know this may sound a little crazy, but when I'm purchasing tires, I base my purchase partly on how much ribbing, lettering and texture is on the face of the side wall. If there is too much, it's so much harder to apply wheel dressing and make these tires shine.

Here's a thread I started a few months ago about the tire dressing/chip brush method: http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...sings-Try-this!
