  • 1991 Jaguar Paint Correction

For my latest work I was given the oppertunity to restore a 91 Jaguar that certainly needed some love put back into the paint. The owner had bought the car for a gentleman that just wanted to sell it and she gave me a call.
Upon initial inspection the car had lots of above surface contaminants and had lots of swirls. Also I had to tackle lots and lots of TOGW in about every crack and crevice on this car. So with out any further rambling here it.
    Items used:
    Rupes 21
Buff n shine MF cutting pad
    M100
Buff n shine foam polishing pad
    HD polish
    Buff n shine finishing pad
    BlackFire Wet Diamond paint sealant

Nice gloss in that white paint! It's hard to get any depth showing in white paint and you've nailed it here! Well done.

Great work Evan, what did you use to remove TOGW? That had to take some time to get rid of the old wax.

Good job Evan! I bet that Jag will fetch bigger bucks.

I used some APC+ and a microfiber towel. For the the tight spots I wrapped the towel around old hotel room key. Oh and lots of patience.

Thanks Marc. She won't be selling it any time soon since she had just bought it but I told her to take it to the previous owner and show it off to him.

We may be all about black cars here at Meguiar's but we have to admit, when a white car is done up right it really looks great. And this Jag looks great!

Thanks Michael. M100 certainly worked well with this paint.

                      Gotta love M100 and M101.

They are both excellent compounds/polishes and a pleasure to work with.

M100 is very easy to remove and worked great with the Rupes and the MF pad.

As an owner of a white car I have to agree. You did a great job on this car. The white just looks so clean. Nicely done.
