I've heard over on Autogeek that a few people who have used this product report that it is a dust magnet. Anybody else experiencing this?

No. They are probably not pre cleaning the surface they are applying it to and their last dressing may still be on the surface.

I have applied UP to multiple interiors back in November and have kept a close eye on the dressing and the dusting that occured was very minimal. I was very impressed with its ability to dry so nicely and remain pretty dust free.

I have applied UP to the vinyl and plastic on my golf cart and it does NOT attract dust. Things here in the So. Cal. desert can get mighty dusty and I have been watching it closely. Love it so far!!!

For exterior trim, how does Ultimate Protectant and Gold Class Trim Detailer compare? I understand that Ultimate Protectant cures dry to the touch. What else between the two? Does one replace the other?

I ask since I own the Gold Class Trim Detailer and I have to say it works great on exterior bumper trim, side mirrors, and wiper arms. But this new product makes me wonder how the two compare and which should be my next choice after my current bottle runs out. It's been raining the last few days here and my trim still looks rather fine.

i was lucky enough to grab one by my house locally(last one too) and i tried it on my mom's interior (chrysler 300)

it looks great and i buffed it off with a MF after 10 mins. similar shine to m40 but smells 100000x better...

the only issue i have is that it doesn't spread easily.. i was using a applicator pad and maybe i should use a MF instead... and a little does not go a long way.

i could see myself finishing an entire bottle pretty quickly lolol...

my one other complaint was that it is hard to see on lighter areas where it has been applied. m40 and natural finish shine a little bit more when applied so you can see where you have applied.

other than that it is a great product. lets see how it reacts to water/snow droplets that come inside when the window is opened. I will also report on the so called dust magnet issue.

There have been a couple users mention that UP is difficult to spread, or a lot of product being needed for covering.

Is there a thread from one of the Mike's that has a proper way to apply the product? If not, could we get some clarification?

Personally, this is the most exciting product for 2010 (so far) and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

yeah i hope he chimes in soon with some info.

i feel like you need to use a lot more product to spread for the interior than the sprays. at $10 a pop it is also a lot more expensive.

From personal experience UP spreads very easily with a foam applicator pad, and a little does indeed go a long way.

Tell you what - on Wednesday we'll be doing some light detailing on a truck that belongs to one of our Customer Care guys. He says the rear step bumper is in need of some TLC so we'll do that up and document the heck out of the process for you.

But again, from personal experience even just yesterday on the fairly large plastic cowling on my wife's car, just several pea sized applications covered the whole thing.

As Mike stated, I have gotten best results from applying it with a foam applicator pad.

Same here with the foam applicator. I love this stuff. Might have to get a 55 gal drum of it and hand it down to my kids and they can hand it to their kids and so on

Doesnt last any longer than Mother's Back to Black from my experience.

I applied it to a ONR-cleaned plastic windshield cowl. 2 days later, it rained for 2 days straight and the cowl is white again.

                              What am I doing wrong?

i have the same problem, mike said the surface might not have been cleaned good enough and/or it was to cold out when u applied it, since then i have bought #39 to clean all my trim but i havent had the chance to clean the trim and re-apply UP because my car has been in the audio shop for a month now getting my stereo re-done, when i get a chance to clean and reapply UP i will post my results.
