I use ether. If I am doing the whole car I will use the DA. If I am just waxing a section then I will do it by hand. You can go ether way. Now as for #16 I really like applying by PC it goes on really, really, thin and is a sinch to wipe off.
You left out licking the water off. Oh, wait a minute, that's my cat, not my car. Uh, I mean my cat licks himself dry. I don't lick my cat dry. Or my car. -PC.
I apply it by hand and sometimes by PC/DA. So far I just have been using the M21 by itself. So I can't comment on the glaze process. So far no problem for me.
Do you guys recommend a Lake country gray pad to apply?
Also can I layer another coat of 21 right after buffing the first coat off?
I'm not familiar with the color coding of the Lake pads, but if that's a nice, soft finishing pad you should be fine.
Yes, you can put a second coat of 21 on right away, but if you have the time/garage/opportunity to wait 12 hours or so that would be ideal. I understand that if you're doing a client vehicle the 12 hour wait is rarely practical.

I've been using the DA to apply 21, which gives me a very thin coat. But I've recently discovered Gold Class and find I can put down a similarly thin coat by hand very easily. Maybe I'm just getting better with my technique.

How are you putting 16 on the pad Shawn? I find 16 goes on nice and thin by hand with a foam applicator pad (comes off easily by hand too) but would be interested in machine applying it. Are you just using a knife to apply it, or a plastic spatula (bondo type applicator), or what?
