M105 Stinks!!

Okay Meguiars... I think M105 stinks.

I mean sure...it cuts through sanding marks with ease, and sure it takes you from cutting level 12 to a fine polishing rouge in one step. Oh and sure it flows well and doesn't gum up like some of the 80 series polishes.....Oh and sure it's a time saver....but it still stinks!! I mean hey Meg's WHERE did the Meg's Mirror Glaze line scent go?!?!!?

Buffing a car isn't the same without that Meguiars almond-like smell. Call me bizarre but for some reason that was/is one of the things I liked best about the Mirror Glaze line. If there were any way to improve M105 it would be be to bring back that smell

That is sooo funny....well for a girl that shops at Bath and Body regularly...it's pretty hilarious...I like the banana scent of # 7 show car glaze the best. My husband comes in the garage and thinks it smells like a body shop, and I just love it!

You have to develop an appreciation for all the fragrances that Meguiar's offers. You have the almond aroma from the Mirror Glaze line. Then there is the key lime/jujubee aroma of the NXT Series and UQD. Also, there is the coconut aroma of Last Touch and the cinnamon aroma of the Hot Rims aluminum polish. And last but not least, the high solvent aroma of MPPC. I even like that one too, it is good for clearing your sinuses.

You will learn to appreciate all of them over time.

So what does the #105 smell like anyway?

I think number 83 smells like maraschino cherries, anyone agree with me? I love meguiars mirror glaze line smells, i can always tell i am using the right product then.

OK...when I saw the name of this thread I must say my heart stopped. "M105 stinks"...is not what I am expecting, nor used to, when it comes to feedback about M105 Ultra-Cut Compound! But I am pleased to see it is not a major negative about the product.

If the lack of fragrance is the only thing you don't like about the product, I'll take that all day!

Trust me. There is a good reason the product doesn't have our distinctive Mirror Glaze assortment of fragrances.

However, it is great for me to get your feedback about the importance of fragrances. We do our best to provide that part of the overall product experience, and will continue to do so on all new products (as feasible.)

#26 is the best, Got some under the nails on Saturday night and woke up to the smell this morning. Its kinda like chopping garlic, it stays with you for awhile and reminds you of a great meal.

I second that... Fix the smell :-)

I bought some M105 and it works great but does not smell great at all. I would not have even smelled it if it were not for this thread, but I think it is time for M105 2.0.

LOL I just ordered a gallon....

anyways, It would be nice if M105 could be used on the DA as well. That way you could be using the same polish/ compound withe different pads. I guess it is kind of like So1o but it would polish clear.
