  • Drying with Last Touch

I heard that using Last Touch makes your drying a lot faster. Now, will diluted 1:1 LT suffice for drying your vehicle? Or should you stay with RTU version for this?

    I stick with the RTU.

Not sure how it makes drying faster.

I have not tried drying with last touch, but using UQW makes a big difference. Not sure how or why, but with UQW and a waffle weave, the water wipes right up with no streaking or water left behind.
There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?

I use LT or UQW as a drying aid sometimes, but it does not really speed up the process.

I find if I don't use UQW and a waffle weave, I have to go back over the vehicle with a microfiber because of the water streaking. When I do use UQW, the waffle weave picks up every last bit of water, leaving the surface completely dry. I have not tried this on multiple vehicles, only my own. Surface condition could sway the results, I suppose.

It doesn't make it dry faster per se, but it seems to help the towel absorb the water better. It makes drying easier (and safer due to the QD) IMO.

So, now I finally get why one would do this. Thanks. Now it makes sense to me.

No problem bud! Worth it IMO. Plus, Last Touch full-strength leaves a nice gloss too!

                    +1

I use it a lot as a drying aid manly to help reduce marring and IMO it does seem to help drying a little....not time wise, but the finished look is better and it leaves the paint nice and slick.

I plan on giving my car a complete detail this week. I will definitely give this a try.

It worked pretty good. During, drying my car, I used RTU Last Touch to aid my drying. Felt less drag, when I am using Water Magnet.

                          Re: Drying with Last Touch

i dried my car (still had a bit of water after sheeting the car) with D156 quik wax.

I have to say it is definitely faster to dry, because I don't spend so much time on a panel trying to get rid of the water.

I went ahead and just spray the entire panel with D156, and then used 2 hands; each with a microfiber towel, and buffed out all the moisture. I have to say it works good. I wonder if I Last Touch will do just as well.

Yeah, QD's are good for that too, but wont have the extra wax.

Can you guys please tell me now you use LT to help drying the car? Mist (deluted 1:1 LT) on panel and then go with water magnet over?
